Kurup Unleashes Psychedelic Tropical Realm with EP "Haunted Coconuts"

The artist Kurup is set to enchant listeners with his latest EP, "Haunted Coconuts," a journey through a cyber-tropical territory infused with Disco beats, Downtempo vibes, Dub inspirations, and House music influences. The EP, consisting of four thought-provoking tracks, showcases Kurup's distinctive approach in investigating the convergences of South American culture, Club, and Rave music, delving into mystical and theatrical cadences.

Kurup's melodies encompass an essence of encirclement by a lively, animated scenery, akin to the diverse tropical savannah of his native land. "Haunted Coconuts" escorts its audience on a parade of life-forms meandering through the ground, forging an ambiance that is relentlessly compelling and enigmatically vibrant. With a background in visual arts and a passion for exploring the duality between sound and image, all culminated in a manifestation of a hypnotic dancing groove, clearly captured in the four tracks of this release.

To complement the experience of "Haunted Coconuts," Renato Rocha has collaborated with an array of talented artists to enhance the EP's visual and tactile elements. The artist Renata Chebel brings her expertise in AI technology Stable Difusion to craft captivating animations that complement the ambiance of music. The track "Sopro Mairi," comes to life with a videoclip, further immersing listeners into this enigmatic world. The EP's production also boasts mastering work by Numa Gama, based in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. Adding to the visual appeal, graphic artist Uirá Ryker from Brasília contributes by crafting cover art, stickers and t-shirt designs making the EP visually striking. Additionally, the EP introduces a unique and eye-catching 3D project made by the artist Kosha from Brasília. The little transparent and acrylic doll exudes a nostalgic aura reminiscent of the '90s, emitting an ethereal glow in the dark. The intricate 3D-printing process and subsequent molding in acrylic were executed by Violeta Azevedo, the mind behind the Knob Knobs brand, which specializes in creating knobs for musical instruments, including synths and guitars. Ensuring that the EP reaches global audiences, the distribution network is being made by MCD.
